Sooo, good news guys!
I didn’t drop off the face of the earth! I know it probably seems like I forgot about you all, but don’t worry, that is definitely not the case! Actually, I’m pretty sure I have about ten drafts started that I just never got around to finishing… Unfortunately, I can’t say that I will be back to posting regularly during this month; however, once school ends in May, you will defiantly be seeing a lot more of me (don’t get too excited now…).
So for this post, I wanted to pop in and share a quick Easter OOTD with you all! However, this OOTD is going to be a bit different since it is featuring both of my sister’s outfits along with my own. You may remember seeing Julie in this post; however, my youngest sister Sophia has never been featured on the blog- until today that is! And despite being unnaturally tall for her age, she is still only in middle school, so her outfit is perfect for any younger readers out there, or for anyone who has a daughter around her age!
I also wanted to wish a Happy Easter to everyone who celebrated it! And although Easter has already come and gone, these outfits are still perfect for any Springtime event! I don’t know about you- but I feel like warm weather always makes me want to dress up more. The colors are always so light and cheery, and since it’s no longer essential to wear ten million layers, skirts and dresses are no longer torturous… I also feel like the extra sunshine makes everyone just a little bit happier… comment below if you agree!
So the majority of my Easter outfit came from Francesca’s… big surprise there;). I actually found this dress about a month ago, and immediately knew I was going to wear it for Easter. The mint green color paired with the lace overlay made it a classic Easter pick; however, the triangle cutouts and high neck made it a bit more trendy. I paired that dress with a thin, loosely knit cardigan with a lace back also from Francesca’s. You can see another way of styling my cardigan in this post. To finish off the look I wore a gold statement necklace from Forever 21, a gold belt I have had for ages, and my favorite wedges from Target.
Similar to my outfit, Sophie also decided to go with the classic dress and cardigan combination. However, instead of going for lace, she went with a printed sundress from Old Navy, and a simple cardigan from Kohl’s. She finished the look off with white embellished sandals.
Julie decided to keep it a little more casual and bohemian with flowy pants from Francesca’s and a fringe cardigan from Plato’s closet. She also kept the colors neutral and earthy by choosing to stick with tans, grays, browns, and greens. Her pants definitely make the outfit for me. I actually was going to buy them myself, but since I am only 5’1″, there was about a foot of material left at the bottom… I have yet to find a pair of flowy pants that don’t make me look like a clown, but that’s besides the point…
And that’s it for this post!
Let me know in the comments:
Which outfit was your favorite?
Do you dress up more when the temperatures rise?
Until next time!
