So today I wanted to share a fun post on trendy clothing items I’ve always loved on other people, but have never tried myself. With so many new (and old!) trends out there, it can be difficult to try everything that catches our attention. Most of the time, I will see a clothing item on someone else, make a mental note to purchase whatever they were wearing, and then conveniently forget about it until I see another person rocking that same look… then the cycle repeats itself.
Because of this, I decided to list them all out- all of the trends I love but have never tried. Also, since summer will be here before we know it (right, mother nature???), I decided to focus on mainly summer trends… lets get into it!
Honestly, I don’t know why I haven’t purchased a bodysuit yet- I really need to get on that. I know, they seem like a pain to get on and off, but I feel like owning a bodysuits would make my life sooo much easier. During the summer months, I am constantly searching for tops that will lay flat under my shorts and skirts, a bodysuit would definitely help with that problem. Also, a lot of the time when I tuck a shirt in, it quickly comes undone, and then I am stuck readjusting all- day- long.
Big Floppy Hats
I have to admit, I’m not much of a hat person. I will wear them occasionally, but by no means is it a regular occurrence for me. However, recently I have really been loving the floppy hat trend- and every time I see someone wearing one, I am tempted to purchase a hat for myself.
Two Piece Dresses
I think this trend may be my favorite out of all of the trends I’ve listed so far. To me, two piece dresses come off super put together, yet fashion forward at the same time… and that is exactly what we’re going for, right? I also love that the two pieces together create one cohesive outfit, yet each piece can stand on its own as well.
High Gladiator Sandals
Gladiator sandals are another thing I have been eyeing up for quite a while; however, whenever I go out in search for a pair, all stores seem to either be out of stock, or never carried them in the first place. However, I feel like high gladiators are something that can really make an outfit stand out, and they go perfect with cutoff shorts and a bohemian tops!
Cat Eye Sunglasses
Although cat eye sunglasses are by no means a new trend, for some reason I still haven’t purchased a pair, although they are definitely my style. I have always loved larger framed sunglasses, and to me cat eye frames are both super feminine and chic at the same time. I also love that this pair is a bit edgier with the cutout between the brow bar and the bridge.
Both bralettes and bandeaus are definitely a summer staple for every girl, especially when you are wearing something low cut or sheer. However, most of my bralettes are pretty standard, so the idea of owning one with a more intricate design really appeals to me.
And that’s all for today! Honestly, if I wanted to, I could go on forever listing items I wish I owned, but for the sake of time and for the sake of my wallet (because now I will probably go out and buy these items), I’m going to cut it off here.
Also, let me know in the comments:
Which of these items are your favorite?
